 NIGHT SCHOOL CANCELLED


All Night School Semester 1 and Full Year Language courses this semester have been cancelled due to low enrollment.  

Gary Allan will be offering courses in Semester 2 with registration opening in December.  Semester 2 courses will include International Language Credit on Monday and Wednesday evenings.  Full details to follow in December.

Welcome to all our IRHS students!


The IRHS Personal and Career Counselling (PCC) team would like to share important information regarding September start up. 


Students have been emailed their official timetables to their HDSB account. We recognize that some students may wish to request a course change. They can do so by submitting the Google Form found here: https://forms.gle/poWkYZpy2NnK7CGo8. The realities of Covid-19, the complexities regarding class size, cohorting, and health and safety, have all made course change availability limited for 2020/21. Therefore we have introduced the following parameters:


Grade 9 and 10 students:

  •   course changes will not be possible for Quadmester 1.


Grade 11 and 12 students:

  •  course changes must relate to prerequisites for post secondary programs.

  •  course changes due to a course taken at summer school will be considered.

  •  Grade 12 students who are on track to graduate, can drop a course as long as they have a minimum of 3 in each ½ of the school year.


Although we will try to accommodate changes, some adjustments may not be possible. Unfortunately, course changes due to workload or cohorts cannot be made.


If a course change can happen, a new timetable will be emailed to the student’s HDSB email. Students will start their new timetable on the NEXT school day. If a counsellor needs to discuss further options regarding a timetable, we will contact students using their HDSB email or their phone number provided on the Google Form. We ask that students please be available.


Students/visitors are not permitted at this time to enter the PCC office due to current health guidelines. Counsellor face to face contacts are being limited. Parents and students wishing to connect with a counsellor can do so by contacting a counsellor directly (email preferred). Counsellors are divided by alphabetical surname:
